a) TICAD V

Japan’s basic policy of assistance for Africa is as follows;
  • Boost the growth of Africa through trade and investment of private sector
  • Promote “ Human Security” through Japan’s unique assistance.
Therefore Japan will contribute to the growth of Africa, utilizing private and public means up to approx. JPY 3.2 trillion (equivalent to USD 32 billion) including ODA of approx. JPY 1.4 trillion ( equivalent to USD 14billion) in the next 5 years.

b) JATA ( to be held from 12 – 15 September 2013)
The JATA TABIHAKU Travel Showcase is an annual exhibition where world’s tourism related organizations and companies from over 150 countries and regions gather all in one place in Tokyo, including National Tourism Agencies, airlines, hotels, travel agencies, and cruise companies etc. providing the latest tourism information directly to visitors.


On the Trade day, “Seminars on the Trade Day” are held to provide practical tips for those working in the travel industry upon inviting specialists in the field. Also, there are “In Booth Reception” where exhibitors have an opportunity for networking and serving visitors.

d) UMA ( Uganda Manufacturers Association)
UMA holds an annual International Trade Exhibition every beginning of October. The show is open to all those who are interested in doing business in Uganda. More information can be got from www.uma.or.ug
